Berit Mücke

Berit Mücke (*1968, Potsdam) studied painting at the Academies of Fine Arts in Leipzig and Rome with Neo Rauch among others. Her dreamlike paintings do not intend to copy a static kind of realtiy. Rather, they mirror the inner lives of her protagonists through a combination of portraiture and landscape. For some, the term soulscape painting might even feel more appropriate for Mücke's artistic approach.
